Before & After
Sam
TAF sponsored Sam finds his forever home!
I saw this scared boy on one of my trips to a local access shelter. Sam had been dropped off by his owner and he was beginning to shut down.
I made a call to Project Rescue Chicago and they agreed to take Sam into their program for TAF. It was a good thing too because not soon after, Sam came down with a horrible upper respiratory infection.
Once healthy, PRC knocked it out of the park when they found Sam a wonderful family that loves him. We are so happy that Sam received a second chance for a happier life... he is one very lucky boy!
Willa
Willa, who was abandoned in an apartment complex, is a 2 year old pitbull/Great Dane mix who is tall, lanky, 55 pounds and super social!
After several weeks in our program, Willa has found her smile! Willa has put on major pounds and has found a wonderful forever home!
Harvey
WONDERFUL NEWS… TAF sponsored Harvey has found his forever home!!!
Harvey was only 3 months old when he was dropped off at an open access shelter. Week after week, Harvey was continually passed over as rescues walked though the shelter to pull dogs into their programs. Until one day… Harvey caught the eye of, what would be, his guardian angel and future foster mom.
Harvey’s foster mom cared for him until Project Rescue Chicago could find the perfect forever home for Harvey. As fate would have it, it turned out to be in a home with a female pittie that was a PRC alumn! Harvey now has a big sister to show him the ropes and a BFF that will play with him all day long.
Thank you to PRC for taking this beautiful boy into your program and to Harvey’s foster mom for not giving up until she found a rescue to take him in.
BEST WISHES HARVEY!
Mr. and Mrs.
GREAT NEWS… TAF sponsored Mr. and Mrs. have both found their forever home… TOGETHER!!!
TAF paid for the medical care of this once sick duo along with having them spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Once healthy, Project Rescue Chicago took Mr. and Mrs. into their care and searched high and low until they found a loving home that would adopt this fluffy power couple together.
I am not sure how Mr. and Mrs.’s former family could have dumped this bonded pair off at a local open access shelter but I am so happy that they have a new home that will love them unconditionally.
May you live happily ever after Mr. and Mrs.!
Ruthie
FANTASTIC NEWS! TAF sponsored Ruthie has found her forever home and even has a new brother! Ruthie's previous owner may have given up on her and dropped her off at an open access shelter but her new mom can't wait to love her unconditionally for the rest of her life. Happy New Year Ruthie... may this new year bring you all the happiness in the world!
Murray
WONDERFUL NEWS! TAF sponsored Murray has found his forever home! This poor guy was in bad shape when we found him but after weeks of medical care and some TLC, he has made a full recovery!
Aggie
GREAT NEWS… TAF’s sponsored Aggie has found his forever home!
TAF was asked to help Aggie after the father of his abuser dropped him off at a local open access shelter. The father said that his son had left Aggie in the garage and had stopped feeding him.
I am not even sure what to say about that… it dumbfounds me.
Once Aggie was in the care of TAF, it was discovered that he was 7 pounds underweight and had tar on his belly, paws and legs.
Even with daily treatments, it took weeks to remove all of the tar from Aggie’s body. During this time, Aggie started packing on the pounds and was finally ready to be neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Luckily, Aggie had already tested negative for parasites and heartworm so we didn’t have to worry about that.
Best of luck to Aggie and his new family… may the rest of your years be filled with love and happiness!
Chick

Much love to you baby girl. You will be missed!
Princess
ONCE TOSSED AWAY, “BECAUSE IT’S TO OLD AND DON’T WANNER,” PRINCESS HAS FOUND HER NEW FORVER HOME!
Thirteen-year-old Princess may have been dumped at an open access facility to die by her ignorant owners… but this stoic girl knew that she was meant for greater things and was not about to give up. Princess mustered up the strength to persevere and held on until she was finally rescued.
In the wake of immoral behavior comes the ultimate act of love, kindness and hope… Princess has received her second chance at the life that she was always meant to have and has a new mom that is crazy about her.
Alcott
LOOK WHO JUST FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME... ALCOTT!!!
TAF first came across Alcott at our TAF sponsored volunteer day at an open access shelter. Even though Alcott was sad, scared and confused, he managed to win over the hearts of our volunteers and we made it a point to go back and get him.
Alcott will now spend the rest of his days with his two little brothers, mom, dad and a furry sister named Rumi.
I think that the smile on Alcott's face says it all... he now knows what it means to be loved.
