Tutu

We have more great news... four month old Tutu was adopted!

When TAF picked up Tutu from a local open access shelter, she was shy and scared. The shelter environment was just too much for her and we knew that she needed to go into a forever home asap.

Luckily for Tutu, an amazing family, with two confident dogs to show her the ropes, was waiting for a pup just like her! Now, Tutu has a forever home with awesome parents and siblings of the human and dog kind... she will know nothing but love the rest of her long and happy life!

Esme

We have some good news... Esme has found her forever home!

It was about a week ago that TAF picked this little girl up from an open access shelter. Esme was a bit shut down but quickly perked up once left the shelter, received a bath and washed her past away. Once spayed, microchipped and fully vetted, Esme was ready to go into a wonderful home with her new mom. As you can see, Esme immediately bonded with her mom and is already enjoying the good life. While in the front seat of her mom's car, her little toothy grin truly says it all... Esme is one happy girl.

Mona

On 2/15/17, Mona’s family turned her in to an open access shelter. She would stay there for almost 4 months before TAF found her. It was then that her second chance became a reality.

After receiving medical care and having time to chill out in a non-stressful environment, we were able to see Mona’s true personality. As we might have expected, she turned out to be an absolute doll.

With that being said, TAF is so happy to announce that Mona has found herself a forever home! As you can see in her photos, Mona was head over heals for new dad and threw herself into his arms… so much love and the happily ever after that she deserved. Kudos to Mona’s new dad for seeing how truly amazing she is!

Charm

GREAT NEWS… CHARM HAS FOUND HER FOREVER HOME!!!

TAF came across itty bitty Charm scared and alone at an open access shelter a little over a week ago. After being spayed and fully vetted, Charm was ready for adoption and the perfect family was waiting for her.

After recently losing their best furry buddy of 12+ years, this wonderful mom and daughter have opened up their heart and home up to their new "lucky charm"… it is hard to say who is luckier.

Chino

When TAF shared the German Shepherd we were taking from our local open access shelter, we happened to see a comment that he resembled someone's best furry buddy who had recently passed, named Chino. We decided on that name for our new handsome pup.

As soon as our Chino was ready for adoption we received an application from a friend of the person whose dog had been named Chino. She and her husband had been looking for a solid, decent sized German Shepherd that could hopefully be trained to be a service dog for the husband. They came to meet Chino and it was literally love at first sight. We are happy to report that Chino is doing well and settling in at his new home. Time will tell if he can be a service dog or not, but regardless, this amazing couple has an amazing buddy-dog and they are all quite happy!

Coco

We have even more good news tonight… Coco has found his forever home!

A few weeks ago, Coco was surrendered at an open access shelter on the southside of Chicago. Knowing the stresses of a shelter environment would be too much for Coco, TAF was asked if we could take him into our program.

After being neutered, fully vetted and microchipped, Coco was ready for his future family to find him… it just so happened that a very special woman, and her pup, were looking for a new family member.

Coco’s new fur sibling has a pretty unbelievable story of his own. His previous owner no longer wanted him and threw him from the window of a moving car. The poor pup had his pelvis broken and suffered a traumatic eye injury. Coco’s new mom was one of the people that stepped in to help cover his $5,000(+) medical bills. She truly went above and beyond to help a hurt dog when he needed it most.

With so much love to give, the thought of Coco going into a home with such a caring, generous and selfless woman made us ecstatic... he truly would be hitting the jackpot.

When Coco's new mom and brother came to meet him, his future brother was super excited... just look at that smile! This family is so fortunate to have found one another and they deserve all of the happiness in the world.

Cullen

TAF is happy to announce that Cullen has found his forever home! At first, things were looking rough for Cullen as he waited for a rescue to pull him from an open access shelter. Being a senior in need of major dental surgery is a hard sell. Luckily, TAF is set up to handle such cases and we were able to get Cullen in for surgery right away. Now, Cullen has a beautiful pain free smile and an amazing, loving family to call his own... we are not sure who is happier in this photo!

Cecilia

On July 17th, TAF posted about a stray dog that we took into our program. Cecilia had been found in a park, where people had been trying to catch her for weeks. After no family came forward to claim her, TAF officially took her into our program. At times, you would have thought that Cecilia was feral by the way she looked at us. It would take TAF’s therapy dogs and daycare buddies to finally turn her around and help find her smile.

When a potential adoptive family came to meet Cecilia, she showed poorly and once again acted almost feral. This patient family sat with Cecilia for over an hour and a half trying to win her over. It was then that we brought in TAF’s therapy dogs Miller and Bentley. Instantly, Cecilia perked up and her new forever family was able to see the amazing personality that she was hiding inside.

We are happy to announce that Cecilia has officially been adopted and is doing great in her forever home. Her patient and loving family are doing everything that they can to build her confidence. We are in constant contact with them and Cecilia will even be coming, tomorrow, to play with our pups. This beautiful girl is a work in progress and is being afforded every opportunity to live happily ever after. She is one lucky girl to have found a forever family that refuses to give up on her… truly good people and a great little pup.

Foxy

Foxy has some good news to tell you today... she has found her forever home!!!

When Foxy came to us from an open access shelter, she was infested with fleas, had a hernia and a bacteria/yeast infection around the skin of her eye, needed to be spayed, have a full blood panel performed, vaccinated, tested for parasites and microchipped. Luckily, Foxy was able to be treated for her ailments and go in for surgery right away.

Today, we are so happy to announce that Foxy has found her forever home with a mom that loves her! A happy second chance for a little pup that was left behind.

Chase

It is hard to believe that the dog in the top left photo is the same dog as the bottom left photo. It is amazing how a homeless dog's appearance can change with one good grooming!

After providing Chase with some much needed medical care, and a grooming, he was ready for adoption. With the help of TAF's Facebook followers, Chase's post was shared and the rest is history... we are so happy to announced that our esteemed looking little man has found his forever home! Chase now has a little brother, that he loves to play with, and two dad that love him... this is one good looking family!
